Grazie a mmo-champion riporto un paio di video che mostrano la "nascita" dei pg Worgen e Goblin in WoW:Cataclysm. Inutile dire che tanto son belli i lupi quanto sono orrendi gli sgorbi verdi...

Emblemi

Arrivano gli emblemi nuovi, gli Emblem of Frost, con i relativi reward livello 264. Il sistema degli emblemi risultera' cosi' modificato:
# tutti i boss delle istanze (heroic e raid) esistenti in gioco nella 3.2 dropperanno Emblem of Triumph
# i boss di Icecrown Citadel e, presumibilmente, il nuovo boss di VoA dropperanno Emblem of Frost
# le daily heroic quest spariranno, lasciando il posto al Random Dungeon del nuovo sistema LFG (vedi piu' avanti)

Icecrown Citadel

La nuova raid instance in arrivo e' finalmente Icecrown Citadel. Quasi certamente sara' l'ultima istanza di questa
espansione e lungo la battaglia che l'accompagnera' si chiuderanno molte delle trame aperte da Warcraft III
al massacro di Wrath Gate.

Come per Sunwell Plateau ai tempi, l'istanza non verra' rilasciata per intero il giorno della patch ed avra' delle
meccaniche tutte singolari.

La prima sezione ad essere resa disponibile sara' la Lower Spire, la parte bassa della cittadella, con 4 incontri,
3 boss ed un evento scriptato: il primo scontro sara' con Lord Marrowgar, un gigante fatto con le ossa di centinaia
di nemici creato dal Lich King in persona. A seguire ci si porra' contro il Culto dei Dannati e la sua leader, Lady Deathwhisper.

Dreamhack Winter

In una intervista rilasciata a The Escapist in occasione del Dreamhack Winter il direttore di produzione J. Allen Brack e l'art guru di casa Blizzard "Samwise" Didier hanno rilsciato alcune interessanti dichiarazioni.

La prima riguarda il sistema di micropagamenti messo in campo per la vendita dei due vanity pet Lil'KT e Pandaren Monk, il Signor Brack ha rassicurato sulle intenzioni della Blizzard di non voler procedere alla vendita di in game items con utilizzi pratici come armi o armature.

Patch 3.3 - Weekly Raid

Le notizie, ovviamente, continuano ad affiorare dal Public Test Realm mano a mano che I dataminer sviscerano byte della nuova patch. Questa volta la notizia giunge da MMO Champion: apparentemente la patch 3.3 aggiungerà agli abituali daily dungeon e daily heroic una nuova quest per I raid da 10 e/o da 25, si suppone a cadenza settimanale con il reset.

Novità dal datamining

E' confermata la presenza in game di Invincible, lo stallone che il giovane Principe Arthas Menethil ha visto nascere e che è diventato il suo destriero in vita e nella non morte. Esiste l'achievement per l'ottenimento della mount, ma ancora non è chiaro da dove esca.

Da ben 15 anni la storia di Warcraft accompagna i player di mezzo mondo, in occasione del 5° Anniversario di World of Warcraft la Blizzard ha attivato il minisito nel quale si possono trovare chicche e rarità d'annata sull'universo videoludico più imponente mai creato.

Con Icecrown Citadel in fase di test e con le build che contengono modifiche più di rifinitura piuttosto che di meccaniche di gioco, molte persone stanno speculando sulla possible data di rilascio della patch 3.3.

Patch 3.3 - PTR Build 10874

Nuova build del PTR con la patch 3.3, nessuna novità di rilievo se escludiamo la conferma di The Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher e Icebound Frostbrood Vanquisher come reward per il completamento di Glory of the Icecrown Raider (10 player) e Glory of the Icecrown Raider (25 player).
